What is Pay Equity?

Pay Equity is a necessary component of an organization’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility practice, and requires nuanced and intentional activation. The first step includes a discussion with BLVE that outlines the tenants of Pay Equity most relevant to your organization. This is the best first step if your company is curious about what the implementation of Pay Equity could look like.

 

Paperwork + Policy Review

Following the decision to become an organization that centers Pay Equity, a lite audit of policies and practices in play is the next step. This process includes workshops sessions with BLVE wherein your organization’s policies are discussed within the lens of Pay Equity and with specific adjustments and recommendations that align your company more closely with its goal.

 

Holistic Pay Equity Audit

From new hire practices, to hourly compensation, this package expands past the brass tacks of pay, and dips into the surrounding practices of hiring, benefits, and funding. Throughout this four part of the process, BLVE will meet biweekly with key stakeholders to deepen her understanding of internal operations. From here, we will help strategize action item recommendations that prioritize Pay Equity in a holistic way.

 

Pay Equity from the Inside, Out

BLVE and collaborating consultants will work carefully with your organization to assess, plan, and strategize Pay Equity practices within your entire organization. This includes development, hiring, foundations, and operations. The consultation functions as a bi-weekly check in and assessment model, offering time and space for implementation and refinement.

 

Freelancers Affecting Change

We also consult with freelancers or individual workers seeking guidance to affect change within an organization or within their own business practices. BLVE offers consultation on Pay Equity or Pay Transparency on a sliding scale.
